We have winners! The 3rd Annual Bay State Concerto Competition was the toughest yet - 2 days in a row of truly outstanding musicians performing technically challenging pieces with musicality & passion - and making the judges' decisions very difficult.In the end, a field of 18 semi-finalists was narrowed to 7 outstanding finalists: 1st Prize: Jou-Won Lee piano $1200 & a performance of the complete concerto with Atlantic Symphony Orchestra next season 2nd Prize: Sheng Cai piano $500 & a solo performance in a chamber concert 3rd Prize: Anne Groenewege saxophone $300 Audience Choice Award: Jou-Won Lee piano Many thanks to our distinguished Judges: Leslie Parnas, world-renowned cellist who studied with Pablo Casals & Gregor Piatigorsky Anthony Fogg, Artistic Administrator, BSO Jin Kim, Music Director, Atlantic Symphony Orchestra | |
