Atlantic Symphony Orchestra Musician's Circle
The ASO is proud of its outstanding musicians, who bring the promise of the orchestra to life at every performance. Musician pay is, quite appropriately, the largest item in the ASO?s annual budget. To demonstrate the support of our audience for these fine professional musicians, ASO has initiated a new opportunity: the ASO Musicians Circle.
With each gift to the Musicians Circle at the $3500 level, we ensure that we have covered the cost of a section player for one year. Section musicians include 25 strings (violin I, violin II, cello and bass), 6 wood winds (flute, oboe, clarinet and bassoon), 7 brass (french horn, trumpet, trombone), and 3 percussion.
Each section is led by a principal player ? 15 in all (all of the sections listed above, plus tuba, timpani, harp and piano). Those who are able to join the Circle at the $5000 level will support a principal player for one year.
As residents of the South Shore, you can consider the ASO your own personal symphony. And now, you may personalize your relationship further by joining the ASO Musicians Circle. Choose the section that you like the most.
We will recognize contributors on the musician roster in each concert program. And we plan to hold a special thank you event for Musicians Circle members with the ASO musicians. When all 50 musicians receive a sponsor, it will be an especially joyous celebration!
To join the Musicians Circle, please contact Managing Director Nina Wellford at 781-740-5694 or wellford @atlanticsymphony.org. She will help you choose a musician to sponsor. Your gift will resonate throughout the season.
